Georgia Tech’s EcoReps program supports Resident Advisors in promoting, teaching, and exemplifying sustainable practices to on-campus residents. EcoReps are empowered to plan events and create targeted campaigns to support the achievement of Institute level sustainability goals in residence halls. Two mandatory member retreats at the beginning of the semester serve to both educate students on residential sustainability and build a sense of community, while bi-weekly meetings create a discussion and brainstorming space with occasional guest speakers from Georgia Tech Campus Services, the Office of Solid Waste Management & Recycling, the Office of Campus Sustainability, and the local Atlanta community. The program has provided an avenue for tangible engagement of Georgia Tech students and measurable results in the sustainability space.
All Resident Advisors are eligible and encouraged to apply for the program by August 23, 2021.
