Student Success Stories
The Office of Sustainability is extremely proud of our student employees. Our students are transferring skills learned in the office to sustainability-related positions throughout the Southeast. The two students highlighted were part of the Living Learning Campus Student Fellowship.

Luke Riley
Luke Riley, BA (‘25) recently accepted a full-time position as a Sustainability Data Analyst with CCL Industries (packaging & labeling company) supporting public reporting on GHG emissions and conducting audits across the company’s manufacturing plants.
“I wanted to say thank you for the opportunity to work at the Office of Sustainability because I truly would not have been able to land this role without the experience and education garnered during my time at the Office,” Luke said. “The support and hands on participation in sustainability initiatives was invaluable to my career and personal development.”
Likewise, Abraham Werner (CE ‘26), is interning with the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) Transportation Management Center this summer.
“Working with the Office of Sustainability as a Living Campus Fellow for the past year has been a career-defining experience! After switching my major to Civil Engineering, I joined the office eager to learn more about transportation engineering and sustainable mobility options. When I explained my interests, I was assigned a challenging project: revamping our campus micromobility. With guidance from the staff at Institute Infrastructure and Sustainability, I drafted a safety oriented shared-micromobility initiative and presented it to transportation consultants and executive administration at Georgia Tech. This experience helped me demonstrate my capabilities to recruiters, leading to an internship offer from GDOT’s Transportation Management Center for the summer.”
Meet all of our Fall student employees and see the projects they worked on here.
