Georgia Tech is currently conducting assessments to optimize bicycle, scooter, and other micromobility options to create a safer and cleaner campus.

Carpool & Rideshare

Carpooling is an environmentally friendly way for Georgia Tech students, faculty, and staff to commute to campus. The carpool permit costs $100 less than the Annual Individual Permit and can be split among carpool members.

Vehicle Charging

Georgia Tech offers 40+ electric vehicle charging stations for use by students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Pedestrianization

The Office of Sustainability is assessing options for increasing the walkability of campus through the implementation of additional green spaces, walking paths, and shaded areas.

Ferst Drive Corridor

The Ferst Drive Corridor is a primary, multimodal transportation route through campus. This phased project aims to reimagine the corridor by installing a cycle track originating in Tech Square and continuing along Tech Parkway.

Socially Aware Mobility Lab

The Socially Aware Mobility project is a research lab dedicated to solving the “first/last mile” problem, traffic congestion, and fostering sustainability.
