2024 SDG Action and Awareness Week
President Cabrera encourages the Institute community to participate in Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Action and Awareness Week March 4–8, 2024, for five days of in-person and virtual SDG-focused events.
SDG Action and Awareness Week invites universities around the world to host events that increase awareness of the SDGs, showcase the work they’re doing, and encourage action.
Georgia Tech SDG Week encourages partners around campus to organize and host SDG-focused events (such as workshops, service projects, or conversation panels) to help showcase the many ways Georgia Tech is making progress toward achieving these global goals on a local level.
SDG Week’s signature events in 2024 include a Sustainability Showcase (March 6-7) and an SDG Mobile Film Festival (March 6)
In addition to campus-specific events, University Global Coalition (UGC) hosts a calendar of virtual SDG-focused events organized by university partners around the world.

Ways to engage during SDG Action and Awareness Week (March 4-8)
- Host an in-person or virtual SDG-focused event during SDG Week (March 4-8). When you are ready, share your event details through the form below, and we will post it to the SDG Week calendar and other calendars selected.
- Attend the Sustainability Showcase. View the calendar of events below!
- Submit a short SDG-focused video to the SDG Mobile Film Festival.
- Using the hashtags #SDGWeek2024 and #SDGsatGT, share your department or organization’s SDG-focused work on social media throughout the week or in an article.
