Join faculty, staff, and students to learn about Climate Action and Resilience Plans and how you can engage with them at three scales: campus community, City of Atlanta, and metro Atlanta region. The Teach-In begins with a moderated panel discussion with Jonathan Philipsborn, Climate and Resilience Manager, Atlanta Regional Commission, Chandra Farley, Chief Sustainability Officer, Mayor’s Office of Sustainability and Resilience (City of Atlanta), and Jermaine Clonts, Associate Director of Utilities Management, Office of Sustainability at Georgia Tech. Dr. Jairo Garcia will moderate the panel. Following the Climate Action and Resilience panel discussion, participants may enjoy light snacks and share their own SDG engagement on posters displayed throughout the venue. The second session of the Teach-In, beginning at 4:45, will be led by several student sustainability leaders at Georgia Tech who will share diverse climate action opportunities on and off campus and help participants identify at least one initiative that aligns with their skills and interests.
